AFTERCARE & RETENTION
At Design by Diqah, each service is carefully crafted with high-quality products and your beauty in mind. To maintain the longevity of your nails and lashes, proper aftercare is essential. Please read the policies below carefully, as they outline what to expect in the event of lash shedding, nail breakage, or other concerns.
Lash Retention Policy
Lash retention is a shared responsibility between the artist and client. While I guarantee the quality of my application, many factors outside of my control can affect how long your lashes last.
If you experience excessive fallout within 48 hours:
Contact me within 3 days of your appointment
Send clear, close-up photos of the issue
A one-time complimentary fix may be offered if it is deemed an application issue
Fixes will NOT be provided if:
Aftercare instructions weren’t followed (e.g., lashes got wet within 24 hours, used oil-based products)
You picked or pulled at your lashes
It’s been more than 3 days or more than 40% of lashes are missing
Lash fills should be booked every 2–3 weeks. Appointments after 3+ weeks may require a full set.
Press-On Nail Policy
Each press-on set is handmade with care and includes nail glue, mini file, brush, cuticle oil, and alcohol prep pad to ensure a secure application.
If nails pop off or break within 3 days of application or delivery:
Contact me with photos within 72 hours
A one-time repair or replacement may be offered
No fixes will be offered if:
You didn’t follow the prep/application steps
Incorrect sizes were submitted
Nails were damaged due to force, water, or misuse
More than 3 days have passed since delivery/application
Discounted refills are available for damage outside the 3-day window.
Gel-X & Acrylic Nail Policy
Gel-X and acrylic sets are built to be durable—but they are not unbreakable.
If a nail breaks or lifts within 3 days:
Contact me with photos within 72 hours
A complimentary repair may be provided if the break was not due to force
I am not responsible for:
Nails breaking due to trauma (e.g., banging, bending, pulling)
Nails being used as tools
Skipping fill appointments (2–3 weeks is recommended)
💡 Treat your enhancements with care to maintain their longevity. Wear gloves for cleaning and avoid overexposing nails to water or harsh products.
Natural Nail Damage Policy
I prioritize the health of your natural nails, but once enhancements are applied, care is a shared responsibility.
If your natural nail breaks underneath hard gel, rubber base gel, or acrylic:
This is typically caused by trauma or pressure, not product failure
Both hard gel and rubber base gel provide strength, but cannot prevent breakage from improper care
I DO NOT offer refunds or free repairs for natural nail breakage unless it’s clearly an issue with product/application
If a break happens within 3 days and not due to misuse, contact me with photos to assess if a repair can be offered
Prevent Nail Damage:
Don’t use nails as tools
Avoid picking at products
Wear gloves when doing dishes or cleaning
Never peel off your nails—book a soak-off with me instead
These policies are in place to keep services fair, professional, and high-quality for all clients. Your honesty and clear communication help me serve you best.
